Here is a selection of some of my favourite terrain materials, I made from my time on Alan Wake Remastered.
I had the opportunity to take ownership over remaking the terrain materials from the original game, it was a great experience and I truly learned a lot and had lots of fun doing it. As well as doing things I already knew, I was able to approach things in new ways and learn plenty.
All the materials were made in Designer using a variety of techniques from fully procedural creation to incorporating atlases from Substance Source as well as sometimes working in scan data, bringing together a variety of resources to create the final material.
It was an honour to work with d3t along with EPIC and Remedy on such an awesome and fan-loved game!
