I'm excited to share one of my favourite pieces of work from my involvement on Mafia: Definitive Edition.
I was tasked with adding injury detail to Carlo's head following a punch-up with Don Salieri and his subsequent death.
However only the "Bust Nose" version of the injured Carlo's made it into the final game.
I only take credit for the texturing of the injury detail, both the model and base head texture are credited to the character artists at Hangar 13.
I created the injury detail in Substance Painter using my own Smart Material, that I made with anchor points and a variety of layers and effects to allow me to paint stroke the gruesome details. See Final Image.
